  • New Year, New Beginnings

    Dear Kristen,

Today we spent most of our day just lazing at home. Pardon the lack of scrapbookish photographs as Mummy has just converted to Mac and is still figuring out the finer details.

Auntie Belle is currently back in the Philippines for her son's baptism and the Christmas holidays, so Grandma has been on leave to take care of you as my leave has been used up. But as it's 2009 now, I have leave again and it's my turn to keep you company at home! Anyway, today's a public holiday so everyone's at home.

We had breakfast at a HongKong cafe in Whitesands. I had the peanut butter special toast with maple syrup... Ok.. it was really quite sweet... but yummy and sinful all in one. You ended up sharing fish porridge with your Grandma & Grandpa.

(Daddy was there too but he has a ridiculous looking photo so I'm not too sure about posting it.)

We walked around Whitesands a little bit more... then headed back to Ris Grandeur for some chilling out in the house. We watched some videos... you went to take a nap... then we had dinner... and that's it.

Well, actually, most part of the day was me telling you all about school the next day! Yes! You're finally headed for school and Mummy has signed you up for Riverlife Kindergarten. Okay, so maybe school is the wrong word because it's more like a playgroup. Why we chose it because we felt that the school had a more hands-on 'project-type' of teaching method. Hopefully this does not backfire when you enter Primary 1. Plus, the school is in a church and is very spacious!

So... for the whole day (plus the days before), I've been showing you pictures of the school, the pictures of the students having fun and their happy faces. We stuck stickers of your name onto your Barney water bottle and I showed you the label with your name that I'd sewn on the inside of your school uniform. We laid out your clothes, shoes, socks, school bag and water bottle before going to sleep. I could tell that you were excited as well... Why? Well, you initially wanted to stay up and watch TV while drinking milk. But when I reminded you that you had to go school tomorrow and we would all need to wake up early, you agreed to go back to our room to drink milk and quickly sleep!

Hopefully... you would enjoy school tomorrow!

    Love,

    Mummy

PS: On second thoughts, here is Daddy's ridiculous photo:
