  • The Beginning of So-Busy Saturdays

    Dear Kristen,

Today marks the beginning of our So-Busy Saturdays.

Every other week, we would be going for Auditory-Verbal Therapy at NUH with Auntie Joyce at 11.00am. Then we would have lunch. And in the afternoon, we would be going to Auntie Ros' for lessons with Teacher Sonia which would be from 2.00pm - 3.00pm.

Today, at AVT, Auntie Joyce asked that we followed up with the following:

    1. Read to you books and pictures, ask you questions about the books and model answers like: "Who is walking? Bear is walking. Who is eating an apple? Bear is eating an apple."
    2. Prepositions. Activity: Stick bright star/flowers all over the room and ask you to look for them. "On a table. Under the chair. In the box."
    3. Stimulate the "F" sound... Encourage you to listen to more "F" sounds like Fish, Frogs, Off.. Sing more songs like Five Little Ducks

At Ros School House, we found out that class was going to revolve around Colours for the first term. We had lots of materials... and ... Mummy is just feeling a little stressed out. Class moved at a very fast pace and I felt that it was hard for you to concentrate with everything moving so quickly. It didn't help as well that we were all seated very close to each other and you were being distracted by other people talking next to us. Hopefully next week would be better. This new teacher's command of the English language was too good either... So... we'll see how it goes. If Daddy feels the same, we'd probably sign you up for a different activity after this term is over.

At night we went over to ChoCho's house for dinner. And as usual, you kept trying to play with the stray cats. As usual as well, they would detect the hostile party and quickly run away. But one cat, for the first time laid herself down at Daddy's feet. At first you tried to hide behind Daddy, but after some encouragement, you touched the kitty!
